One of my bookstagram girlies posted about how this bothered her for a couple specific reasons and I was so bummed because I had a feeling it would sway my experience and I’m very sad to say it did and she has been unfollowed because I will not tolerate a Stanley Tucci hater (jk. sort of.)

this was a hell of a book to break my repeated conclave rereads. expected a book about what tucci ate in a year, and i did absolutely get that, as well as his thoughts throughout the year, his internal crises, and his repeated accusations of his wife cheating on him (interspersed with how much he loves his young hot wife). actually made me think more and differently about food and what it means to people. hell of a book!!

I didn’t love this as much as his first book but it still has that great food lover’s comfort read feel to it. It’s funny because you can think of Stanley Tucci has this amazing food obsessed actor and then he talks so much in this book about all these other people who I guess would be his version of my Stanley Tucci idea. Idk if that makes sense but it was a lovely reminder to appreciate others more than what I might do at times.
