I could listen to Stanley Tucci speak all day long. This audiobook was an approachable combo of irreverent rants and beautiful musings on life and love. It’s moving how he speaks of food’s intersectionality with family, love, compassion, memory and sense of self. My second of his memoirs in a year and I wish there were more.

Insightful, and at plenty of times surprisingly moving! I don’t usually read memoirs but this truly felt like such a treat.

4.5! I love the idea of what you ate as a prompt for daily writing. This was more heartfelt than I expected. I appreciated that it didn’t try to be another celebrity memoir (as he already did that).

I learned more about him (the human, not the actor) from his daily rambling of what he ate or tried to cook (complete with self criticisms and recommendations for the next time) than most celebrity memoirs which just blab for 300 pages about what they did when they were 17.
