This is a simple diary, but it’s oddly comforting. Is he a tad pretentious? Sure, but in the most charming way. He’s also flat out hilarious.

Was a fan of Stanley and then i listened to this.  Honestly pretty boring & I don't like when celebrities complain about mildly annoying interactions with the public 🙄 I emphasize that it gets old (they are people too of course) but there were too many passages of him being irked by people being genuinely curious about him and not rude. Ask for privacy and move on dude! Try practicing some gratitude that people are interested in you at all. Annoying

Half this book is about food and the other half is Tucci complaining: food, public transit, people doing their jobs with the rules he’s aware of but doesn’t care to follow, his job… I kind of wish I hadn’t read this— I can handle someone being a food snob, but being an all around snob is just annoying.

I got bored, which was so disappointing because I thought “Taste” was beautifully done! This didn’t contain much of what I loved about “Taste,” namely Tucci’s anchoring of food as a way to also talk about his relationships with loved ones, career, and travels.
