Enjoyed this one slightly more than the first one because it gives us: brother's best friend / single dad.
But, on the other hand, it was still too fast-paced? I'm aware the characters have essentially known each other most of their lives but still they move (literally) too fast in my opinion. Also, didn't really like the whole thing about Cheyenne
having a crush on Cole since she was a teen and STILL behaving like a teen
.

Make Me Yours was one of those contemporary romances that hit the spot. I love a good falling for your older brother's best friend book -- especially when the unrequited love has lasted years. Cheyenne and Cole had such a sweet, sexy story. I loved Cheyenne's relationship with Cole's daughter, Mariah. I also thought Cole's issues were done in a great way. The one thing that bugged me a bit was how instant love-y this felt despite the fact they knew each other for years. Things just moved way more quickly than I would have expected. That didn't distract too much from the story and I still found myself loving it.

CW:  panic attacks; spousal death; therapy; labor death

When I started this book, I expected the daughter's fear of her dad re-marrying to be the thing that needed to be addressed. I did not expect it to be Cole's inability to deal with the passing of his wife 9 years ago. He kept shoving his feelings in the corner and took care of his daughter, including taking her to therapy. I thought this whole thing was dealt with well. I liked the inclusion of therapy as part of the resolution. Other than that, the romance is conflict-free. It was a nice story to read.

A perfect small town romance, that doesn’t shy away from serious topics like anxiety and panic attacks! And I loved getting to know the other people in town a little more as well, Enzo Moretti made me laugh so hard!
