I’m not sure I’ll be able to write this review because of the misogyny I’m choking on. 🙄🙄🙄

I loved the beginning of this and the whole accidental steamy text thing is my catnip. But it couldn’t make up for the clusterfuck that was this book. The hero was THE WORST. “Therapy is only for women and kids.” “REAL men don’t do that.” “REAL men don’t need XYZ.” I wanted to stab my eyeballs out. And at THE END of the book, he says, “Good. Then everyone will know what a man I am.” Once a misogynist, always a misogynist.

And wtf was with the sudden need for the heroine to worry about her weight totally out of the blue? The fat shaming was gratuitous and unnecessary. Between that and the blatant misogyny, I swore I was transported back to the 80s.

Both mothers were absolutely wretched, and the sudden love between the characters was so unbelievable, I strained my eyes from all the rolling.

I didn’t love the heroine, but hooooo boy did I hate the hero.
