Unfortunately this one needed a really heavy edit job. It kept repeating everything we already know from reading the first book. I will finish off the story with the next book, but this one was really disappointing because I really enjoyed book one, only to then basically read a big info dump of the same book over again, with a tiny bit of new plot.

It had great bones and I loved Ryker and Gems and all their banter but like others had said it did have some editing issues and inconsistencies in the book. If she doesn't have an editor I would recommend one because this book could have been a 4 or 5 star if those issues had been addressed.

Great Follow Up

Overall great read! The first several chapters were very repetitive and served as a reminder of book 1, but as someone who binge reads I found that frustrating. After that though, the story was fun to read. I like the tension with Aleks, but wish there was more to the drama. Looking forward to reading book 3!
