Wow. What an ending. At the beginning, I wasn't really enamored with Monique as a narrator--I would have rather had Evelyn telling her own story. But the ending really paid off with Monique. And it is interesting to factor in another lens into Evelyn's story and the fact that she can't really tell her own story, but rather has to be refracted through other people. I only wish I had read this when I was in Hollywood a few weeks ago!
