8/10- it’s not over rated as it is beautifully written and constructed. the way the author can make a character so complex yet in the end likeable and understandable is truly amazing. i just think the plot twist has been over hyped and i was disappointed by it. but it had a really beautiful ending.

I enjoyed this one a lot! Evelyn is a great character and I admire her as a strong female trying to make it in a man’s world. It’s following a movie star but still so so relatable.

I did like this book overall. I found it hard to get into and honestly the only parts I cared about were the lesbian ones. Like I understood why this book was written the way it was, but I went into it thinking it would be gayer which was disappointing to me. All in all would recommend though.

First book that got me out of a book slump, also the first book I have read since the beginning of the school year (August)! I mainly chose this book to see what the hype was about mainly due to booktok and found myself loving this book as well :) Honestly, I haven’t read many books in my life so I’m still in the processing of figuring out how to consolidate my thoughts and write a information, reflective, and thoughtful book review!
