I liked this book and Walker and Fin’s story but I don’t know if it was the kinks or what but it wasn’t my favorite book that being said I’m only 1 person and everyone has different tastes so this might be a book you love, so if the description sounds good give it a chance

Fun, modern day story about a man who needs help with his terrible triplets and the nanny best suited (or cardiganed) to take on the job.

That’s not to mean that I didn’t actually yell while reading this one. The dad is afraid of his own kids and wants to make sure they don’t turn out awful but does absolutely nothing to make sure they don’t turn out awful. My actual (shouted) words were, “So DO SOMETHING!” Good job, author, I guess, if you were trying to get across how frustrating the situation was for the nanny walking in – risking actual life and limb – to care for a few brats.

Okay, yes, there’s more to it than that. The guy had horrible examples growing up and, after the loss of his husband, wasn’t capable of finding his feet. Grief does weird things to us. But he’s willing to learn and the new nanny has some interesting reinforcement strategies to encourage him.

The first in a series. Definitely some not-safe-for-triplets content, but readable and enjoyable (even with the shouting).

This was so poorly written it gave me a headache to keep reading.

The pacing was so inconsistent and it really needed some more attention from an editor as there was a lot of repetition and very confusingly worded sentences, characters popping up out of nowhere, plot inconsistencies — the story concept had some potential but the execution left something to be desired.

“I do believe that one should always keep a sword handy when attending a clown opera...”

When I started this book I didn't know what to expect. I didn't know the author, but the plot seemed like something I would like. So I decided to give it a chance. And I'm glad that I did. This is an amusing and heartfelt story about grief and starting over. With a side of kink. The characters are funny and well-developed. The story is also very well developed, if not a bit cliché (but I like clichés, sue me).

However, I have to admit that, at first, I was a little skeptical. I think that, in the beginning, the pace is a bit wonky and it affected my reading experience. However, then, the pace finds its rhythm.

Overall, I do recommend this book, and I certainly will read the second book in this series.
