Leverage in Death

J.D. Robb

4.13 AVERAGE

I really enjoy the In Death books by J.D. Robb. As usual, Leverage in Death did not fail to entertain me. I believe I have read all of the previous books. Although they can stand alone, I have enjoyed the character development over the years, as well as Robb's weaving of previous plots into the current story. These are police murder mysteries, and I enjoy the steps that Eve Dallas has to take to solve the crimes. I would highly recommend these if you like this type of reading material. Or just give it a try - you may find yourself hooked into the series!!

JD Robb still crafts an entertaining mystery, and I enjoyed the inclusion of a serious fight between Dallas and Roarke.

Can I just say it sucks to be current? I mean it's great to read the current book when everyone else is, but I want more now and there isn't any. I can't binge

A suicide bombing carried out by a devoted family man. Another family man commits another suicide bombing where a young upcoming artist is one of the victims. How do you find out who or what is driving these individuals to don suicide vests? Can profit be the motive? Eve Dallas and Roarke work to solve these crimes before more are killed.

I liked the first two chapters. After that, the storytelling didn't work for me. Just not my kind of book.

I loved this editioin of the "In death" series as much for the way it really brought the characters in Eve's life and work to life. From baby Bella and her painting to the awe of peabody as she gets to go to the oscars. The people in Eve's life are as important as the latest murders which once again hit a new method of perpetration.

Always good. The Oscar thing was weird but all in all a good book.

And the Oscar goes to....

This book was so intense with devoted fathers forced to be suicide bombers. And amidst this hectic investigation, preparations for the Oscars have to be made as life marches on. A great mix of murder and friendship and life.

This book was so good, I picked it up this morning and was done shortly after getting home from work.
