Hmm, possibly one of my least favourite of King's...

I like the concept, I like the story and I like the characters but it just feels sort of dull to read...

A book the author does not remember writing. Local mechanics dog gets bitten by bats and becomes rabid, kills three men then traps mother and boy in their car for nearly three days.
Characters are well developed and story constructed in a way that makes two people being trapped in a car in someones front yard for 3 days believable. Once the “main event” kicks off your are right there in the car and the absurdity of the situation is never allowed to detract from the tale so meticulously woven.
One slight loose end (Tads closet) that was explained away a little hurriedly and without adequate exploration but otherwise well written (as if Id know).

I previously only had a vague recollection of watching the movie with my dad when i was probably way too young but the book was highly entertaining and looked forward to returning to it each day.
