The character beats in this book are absolutely outstanding. Angron might have the most tragic story of all the primarchs and honestly is the only one who paints the imperium exactly how it is. Kharn and Argel Tal have an absolutely captivating relationship. Demski-Bowden is a powerhouse.

A brilliant follow up to Know No Fear. Even manages to make you (slightly) sympathetic towards Angron. I love the Argel Tal/Kharn bromance.

Erebus is still a shitstain.

This probably won't be all that great to anyone unfamiliar or interested in the Warhammer 40k universe, but if you are, you'll love it.

Admittedly, this took me way too long to read, as I've been on kind of a manga kick lately and haven't been counting any of that.

The Shadow Crusade's invasion of Angron's homeworld Nuceria; this book is action-packed with fights between Astartes and legions of titans. It details the final fall of Angron into insanity and accession to Daemonhood. Finally, if you didn't hate Erebus enough, the leach manipulates Kharn and Argel Tal, killing the latter to make sure that Kharn fully turns to Chaos

Wish I could give it 3.5 stars, but I can’t so I rounded up. It has some good back story and a couple moments a genuine emotion, but I’m team loyalist and this is not kind to the loyalist legions.
