Initially, going into this read, I was a little weary about the characters’ language, and the way they spoke and interacted. It didn’t feel very realistic, but as I slowly fell in love with the characters, I was able to surpass those occasionally non-human-like interactions. Lucy Score is great at creating humor and relationships. The dialogue was mostly phenomenal, I just knew that some of the comebacks and some of the phrases didn’t feel like it would be said in any normal conversation.

I have only recently been getting into the heated, romance, contemporary novels, and I knew this was popular, but didn’t expect to love the characters as much as I did. Yes, the story was character driven, but I think that’s what made it so special. Because of how complicated the characters were. Knox got a little on my nerves at the end, but holy shit am I straight for this man. I love the sunshine X grumpy trope, and the way it was a ‘he falls first’ scenario hidden underneath all of it.

100000/10 stars, I breezed through this book with no issues. I’m not a big fan of Lina or Nash’s new brooding personality, so I’m a little nervous about this next book.
