🇬🇧: When I started this book, I wasn't really looking forward to it because it's so thick. Once I started, I didn't have any problems with this at all. The beginning was a bit long-winded in my opinion and it took a while to get into it, but once I got into it it was good. Knox is truly my heart and has everything I look for in a grumpy man. Naomi was also great, she was the quintessential sunshine that every grumpy VS sunshine trope needs. Their romance really fit the story well too. It was a slow-burn romance, but I thought that suited this book very well. In addition to spice and romance, the book is also packed with action and adventure, which attracted my attention again and again. All in all, a great book and highly recommended (although I would have liked it to be a little shorter, especially the beginning).

One of my favourite series ever. I love a grumpy x sunshine and a found family. This was my first Lucy Score, book; it made me fall in love with her writing and these characters. I immediately fell in love with both of the mcs, I loved the introduction to the world, it was entertaining and drama-filled from page 1. I not only fell in love with the mcs but also all the side characters, I could see the setup for future books but I also loved the depth other characters brought, which added depth to the mcs. It was a perfect slow burn that's full of tension, humour, and love. What was perfect was that you got the slow burn in the first half and the spice in the second half; the story had a crime side plot that was well-developed enough to make it a massive part of the story, linked to multiple side characters, and really dragged you in. I also loved the fact that they had real conversations and even though it was a happy ending, the conversations and self-healing to get there were healthy (in the end) and realistic. 6/5 stars!

Because of all the hype this book has, I had so high expectations and therefore got so disappointed in the first 140 pages… I found it to be really boring and it took me about a week until I had reached 100 pages. BUT after the 140 pages, it  started to get better and better. Some chapters were wow, some were meh. In the end I just wanted to finish it bc even tho it was good, I was so tired of it after reading it for almost three weeks. But overall in the end, I enjoyed it!

I loved Naomi and Waylay more than the other characters but most of them were so loveable! I loved Naomi’s humor and laughed out loud several times because of it! I was not a big fan of Knox until he took Naomi and Waylay for shopping, then he started to grow on me. There was some parts where I loved him but most of the time he was not my favorite, in the end I liked him very much but I didn’t love him. But one thing I absolutely LOVED was when he called Naomi Daisy, so sweet<3
