🇬🇧: When I started this book, I wasn't really looking forward to it because it's so thick. Once I started, I didn't have any problems with this at all. The beginning was a bit long-winded in my opinion and it took a while to get into it, but once I got into it it was good. Knox is truly my heart and has everything I look for in a grumpy man. Naomi was also great, she was the quintessential sunshine that every grumpy VS sunshine trope needs. Their romance really fit the story well too. It was a slow-burn romance, but I thought that suited this book very well. In addition to spice and romance, the book is also packed with action and adventure, which attracted my attention again and again. All in all, a great book and highly recommended (although I would have liked it to be a little shorter, especially the beginning).

This story was so well written. The characters feel very stereotypical and for a while I thought the ending of the book was going to be predictable but I was so wrong. The whole book I felt so frustrated for Naomi right up until the very end. The dialog feels like "buzzfeed quiz quirky millennial" humor.
I wish that Knox's character wasn't so toxic masculinity-y. It would've been nice to see him not focus so much on Naomi's sexuality and vague description of how she stuck in his mind and heard him describe a deeper interest in her character and personal attributes. Also, his treatment of her I think is very uncomfortable like calling her pet names outside of the relationship and how he takes a lot of control over her. I can see how it can be seen as sexy but to me it came off very controlling and unsettling.

This was an amazing read and I loved the character growth. We get to follow along and connect with the FMC as she faces the many problems caused by her sister and saves herself and her niece. The MMC is the perfect example of a strong, supportive partner who feels overwhelmed and scared but eventually recognizes the error of his words and actions. Absolutely loved every second.

This was such an odd read - it really took some time for me to get into that I almost DNF ~20% in, but I enjoyed the writing style. I think it was a tad too long in the middle which led to a really rushed, almost out of the blue ending with
drug lords & the mafia showing up
, but the pros outweigh the cons so I'm leading to a 3.5*...I think.

This is one of the better enemies-to-lovers tropes I've read, because OMG, Knox is a complete douchenozzle, then he goes and says some endearing crap and immediately I'm all swooning again. But then I remember that dude is 43 YEARS OLD and he's acting like a lead in a YA novel. He was a total tool - a growly, incredibly hot, barber, but a tool nonetheless.

Naomi was such a people-pleaser and I enjoyed her growth throughout the ups & downs in the small-town setting. Knockemout is a great small town with a fantastic score of supporting characters. The bonus 2nd epilogue is worth the download that gives a teasing glance to Nash & Lucian's HEAs which I look forward to reading about.

This book was everything I love: grumpy/sunshine small-town slow burn romance. Added bonus of some not-so-hardcore crime. I freaking love this book. So much banter and longing and humor.
