If I could have given it 0 I would have. This book started off promising but continuiously deteriated over time to the point I didn't want to continue reading it and I was scared to read it. In the end I put it aside and abandonded it.
I liked the idea of this book. The author killed it for me in the last 50 pages. The word I would use to describe it: "Eh"

This was book was fan freaking tastic. I definitely recommend this one to anyone who loves hearing the old stories told with an interesting twist. This one is definitely a must read.
I just couldn't do it. I got about 60% in before giving into the struggle. Even when I tried to skip ahead to see if it got better, it just didn't seem worth it, which was unfortunate because it had all the elements that I should have loved.
It wasn't even that it was necessarily bad, just bland. Like all the characters fell flat for me and I just didn't care what happened to them.

I read this yesterday and having sat with it over night my reaction hasn't changed much. I like my fairy tales pure. I never felt a connection with the fairy godmother.
