A.) This is really well done
B.) I love everyone in this bar
C.) Steve Trevor taking on cultists and going "yeah no real men don't want that" is super great
D.) The entire premise of "Diana's entire backstory is so mixed up now that we need to spend an arc on just untangling the lies" is fantastic
E.) Diana using the lasso on herself to find her backstory

This trade was okay, just okay. I think the main problem with this trade was that my expectations were really high, and I was severely disappointed.

It started out really strong and I was looking forward to it. Wonder Woman thinks that someone is messing with her head, her memories and to top it all off she can't go home. It was after the first issue that things kind of go downhill.

Now, don't get me wrong the storyline as a whole is pretty interesting and definitely not what I was expecting (in a good way), but it just wasn't what I was expecting. Though I have to admit, the Cheetah storyline was intriguing and kept me interested I wanted to know more. Actually that plot point was the highlight of the trade.

The whole trade was pretty fast paced, and action packed which was great. Honestly that fight scenes where some of my favorite parts. The artwork and colors were gorgeous, I loved Diana's design in this and the jungle was beautiful!

Now, here's the plot point I didn't like: Steve Trevor. Actually, I'm indifferent about this plot point, I don't hate it but I don't love it either. When I talk about Steve Trevor, I'm talking about him as a soldier, because I liked him and his team in that instance. What I'm on the fence about is the romance. Toward the end of the trade it got real sweet and I wasn't feeling it. Maybe, I'm just bitter because I loved Diana and Clark together and she totally disregarded the whole entire relationship. Overall, I'm not impressed with the Steve/Diana relationship but that might change, who knows?

All in all, the trade wasn't bad, it just didn't met my high expectations. I will continue on with run, hopefully it gets better or my expectations get lower.

Received by publisher in exchange for a honest review.

This was supposed to be a good jumping-on point for the Wonder Woman series but honestly I feel like I just fell into the middle. It doesn't help - or maybe it does? - that this volume collects odd numbers only from 1 to 13, while volume two collects the even numbers. Makes sense to you? Yeah, me neither.

I dunno. I'm going to read volume 2 though, because I have it, and then if it still doesn't make sense I can at least say I gave it a good try.

Maybe reading this wasn´t the best idea since I have never before read WW
and I was clearly missing a tone of backstory.
It was okay but I won´t be continuing.

As a first timer to a Wonder Woman comic this was not a good opener to a new series/rebirth. The story wasn't interesting at all & by the end I could care less what was going to happen next. I was very close to DNF-ing this on more than one occasion, but I powered through it. The only thing that this graphic novel had going for it is the artwork; which is stunning. If hadn't gotten this from my local library I would take a few of these scenes/pics out & put them on my wall. It's just a shame that the story didn't reflect the artistry. I'm still coming off the high off the Wonder Woman film so I'm not giving up on this character yet. I just have to find another way into her world.

This was ok. Less enjoyable than Tome 1 but still nice.

Main thing I disliked was that it does not follow the precedent Tome's story but rather we have a time skip and are thrown in a situation we (I) have no idea about. How did we reach this point?

The story was nice. Funny bits and pieces here and there.

I'll have to read the actual WW comics series because I guess this is more highlights of her story.

Maybe more like 3.5/5 stars.

I don't read many graphic novels, so I'm really not the best to judge but this volume just didn't feel complete. It was still enjoyable, though.
