Unbelievably boring book criticizing a philosophy that no modern person has heard of and that no one would believe anymore.

Voltaire challenges the idea that "This is the best of all possible worlds"

I'm a babe that usually reads magical realism and contemporary fiction so this was a little outside my usual tastes. it was an interesting look at the general vibes in the 1700s and what is considered to be a classic. did I learn much? kinda. did I enjoy it? not really. obviously this was revolutionary thinking back in the day but now it's giving yt boy discovering empathy.

I can't believe I waited so many years to read this. Brilliant satire. Love it.

Funny book:)
