Maybe I'm just bored with Mr. Moore or maybe his books are just all the same?

Santa zombie Christmas comedy - perfect when you're tired or the "same old" A very funny small town tale.

This is a friend's favourite Xmas book, so I wish I could have gotten into it more. For what it is (i.e. only meant to be goofy and fun) it's well written, but honestly I didn't find it terribly funny. Too much story, not enough funny. Is that a valid criticism? Not really, I suppose ....

This book was my first Moore and was 100% not what I expected. I don’t know what you’re thinking you’re getting into with this book but it’s probably not that.

It is so much better.

An entire town chock full of imbeciles, accidental murders, a fruit bat named Roberto and IKEA obsessed zombies. I am here for it!

I’ve never laughed so much over a Christmas novel and am sure I never will again. I loved this book from the first page to the last and can not wait to read the rest of his books!!!

Two characters make return appearances in this one. I love the stupid angel, Raphael, and again, thought he was even better in Lamb. Tucker and his fruit bat vistits this used to be sleepy town during the Christmas season. My favorite line: "she was ringing that bell like she was going for gold in the Pavlov olympics." Moore's writing is not only laugh out loud funny, but intelligent too. How can you go wrong with brain-eating zombies on Christmas?

The stupid angel didn't have as big a role as I expected. But it was a fun read.

Really more like three and a half stars.
I love Moore's writing style and sense of humor. I love coming back to Pine Cove. I love saying "Oh! I know you! You were in !"
I should have really enjoyed this book. But although it was good, and I laughed out loud several times, I didn't love it like I did Coyote Blue or Dirty Job. Maybe he was just trying too hard. But any time Roberto the Fruit Bat can save the day, it's probably good times.

As usual Moore delivers an amazing laugh out loud till you fall off your chair kinda book.

What did I just read??? Random and discontented, I really don't think the obvious attempts at humor are funny. I'm really sad, I have thought for a long while that Moore was one of my faves, but the last 3 of his books have been hard passes.
