I think this book was the best in this series but for me it still didn’t live up to any of her other books. The twist and turns in this one did have me guessing though.

This is a fantastic ending to a crazy series. The stakes are ever higher and the escaped just as daring. I didn't give this a five-star rating because it didn't leave me shocked to the core. But it was an amazing novel, a definite page turner, and an easy quick read.

Okay this was the best of the series for sure! More character development than in the second book for the side lot and more moments that prompt Grace to make a choice. She's still a very flawed character throughout the whole series but that makes sense with the situations she's faced with. As much as I read this series in a very roundabout way, it was a really fun and quick trilogy to get through.

After fleeing for her life in the last book, Grace has to decide whether she will return to Adria or keep running. The problem is she can only run so far and she just might have to stop and face the ghosts responsible for her mother's death. This was a spectacular conclusion to this series. Ally Carter does such a great job crafting the tension in this book, keeping you on the edge of your seat, but also giving you moments of reprieve. I like that this series feels complete (as opposed to the Heist Society series which still feels a little open-ended). She did a great job wrapping up both the major plot points and the main characters' storylines. I was so happy with this book. So happy. Another win in my book for Ally Carter.
