It's a cute story. I love a good grovel, and these guys are scraping their knees to get back in their girl's good graces.
That said, I'm not a fan of childish pranks so I couldn't really find joy in the stuff Kendall pulled.

I knew going in this wasn’t going to be my favorite of Sam Hall’s but I like the way she writes so I decided to give it a go. I wasn’t a fan of the “the boys tormented you all throughout childhood because they secretly like you” - it gave “boys will be boys” vibes and while that wasn’t the intention, since the MMCs do redeem themselves, it hit the wrong note for me.

For a reverse harem book that’s set in contemporary Australian city suburbs, it’s pretty low drama. Not no drama, just a lot less than could have been made of the situation. Much appreciated.
I had almost stopped at about two thirds through- not because it was bad, but because their relationship was doing okay, and while their situation could be better as a whole, having that much book left made me nervous. Never fear, it’s a single book, no cliffhanger, and it’s not fantasy or dark romance, so we get a HEA.
If you have any kind of strong feelings about pranks and teasing and the inequalities of how that plays out with gender, be prepared for that to be touched on, maybe/maybe not from your particular perspective.

Very insta-love which feels like an oxymoron given they were childhood friends but the forgiveness feels instantaneous. Negative points for the sugar diabetes “joke”.
