Decently written but everyone aside from the FMC is unlikable.
- Her parents come off as unsupportive and slightly abusive.
- Her brother was a grade A a$$hat when they were kids and his behavior was supported
- His friends were awful and actually ruined her dreams of becoming a chef, never apologized until they meet up as adults and don't even realize she stopped cooking all together.
- She left home at 18 and was CONDEMNED for it by her family when the reason was 100% these guys
- All they can think about when they're around her is how hot she is and getting their d!cs wet instead of figuring out how to fix the damage they've done
- Her best friend wants her out of her house so bad so she can bang her boyfriend in every room even after she tries explaining to her friend the hell she went through with these guys but her friend literally ignores all that until the cooking thing comes out.
This is all the first 21% of the book. I couldn't do more because this girl deserves so much more from literally everyone around her is just sad.

If this is Sam Hall going the contemporary route, I'm all for it. She brought a fated mates vibe to the genre that readers don't see often, and it really brought that little something extra to the story, making the guys seem all the more obsessed with their girl. It's absolutely a modern romantic comedy RH, and Kendall doesn't have to choose between her tormentors, aka her brother's best friends and business partners. I think it's important to point out that it never loses the feel of a novel by this author though… You still get a lot of family dynamics/situations playing out. While Kendall may only remember being the victim, before it's over, we'll learn that wasn't always the case. History has a way of being one-sided, and I was so happy to see the depth of the group's and family's past explored here. I loved how this one really got into those dynamics because we do get to see Kendall with her brother and her parents (and the guys), and there is so much to learn from those interactions. The guys have ALWAYS been Team Kendall, and if this book is anything to go by, I hope we see more contemporary from Sam.

I am completely and utterly obsessed with every single thing Sam writer! I cannot wait to read what's next! 10/10 would recommend!

Another Winner From Sam Hall
Whether it’s paranormal or contemporary, Sam Hall knows romance. I always enjoy the paranormal aspects in her other work but the best parts of all her books are the realistic interactions between characters and the characters themselves being relatable. The 3 MMC’s very clearly have their own personalities and aren’t just relegated to “indistinguishable member of the harem” as is often the case with a RH novel. Kendall is awesome; smart, flawed, someone I want to be friends with. The spice was spicy and all the feels were felt. Looking forward to whatever Sam puts out next, it’ll be an automatic buy for me.

this one had a really weird dynamic.
She was harrassed by her brother and his friends for her whole life, then her interview for a baking apprenticeship got screwed up by her brother but he blamed it on his buddies.
Skip 10 years she is looking for a place to live and the friends minus the brother have a place with a room to let.
They tell her she is the one for them and that they always share women and now that the brother married someone else they can have her... um.. ew.
Basically really awkward family and work dynamics ensue due to the brother owning part of the construction business and he's jealous of his buddies but not about sleeping with the sister.. I don't know it was off.

This was just a palette cleanser for me before reading my book club books. I wasn’t needing a literary masterpiece and it wasn’t one so not disappointed with that. Just overall was fluff and nothing special.
