Kendall was tormented as a kid by her brother and his best friends, and left home as soon as she could. After years of bouncing from place to place, she finds a room for rent that seems too good to be true. And it is, mostly because her former tormentors are her to-be roommates. The story does end up in a HEA with revenge and closure for all of the torment the FMC dealt with.
It might be because I've read of few of these back to back, but this one wasn't as good to me as others by Sam Hall I've read. That is 100% on me for reading too many softer stories when I'm a Dark Romance girlie at heart and absolutely nothing to do with the writing. It's a really good story and at a different time, I probably would've liked it more.
This book is a contemporary romance, with a why choose/RH relationship, and a FMC who gets doted on.
This story has a few trigger warnings including: Bullying and dysfunctional family issues that get resolved.

Yeah…if there’s gonna be mention of bullying in the books I read, this is how I want it.
I absolutely loved how gone they were for her from the second they saw her again.
And the way they did literally anything and everything to gain her trust…damn hot is what that was.
