Not a catchy book, every chapter is kind of a different story.

I'm a huge fan of the t.v. show and movies, but I've never touched the book. I never wanted to touch the book because I knew it wasn't anything like what I've seen and adored throughout my life.

But when I was digging through the bargain section of a local book store and my hand came out of the bin holding this, I knew I should give it a try.

On it's own, t.v. show and the Carrie Bradshaw we know aside, this book was awesome. It's just such a lighthearted read and so FUN reading different people's perspectives on relationships, love, sex, etc. I highly recommend it! You just need to put yourself in the mindset of "it's nothing to do with the show, it's nothing to do with the show!"

It is very different from the show. The closest season is pretty much the first season of the show only and even that is missing all the drugs the girls were doing.

Examples: Miranda has a drugs guy and always has drugs in her purse (heroine or coke? I don't remember). Another example about Carrie straight from the book: "a few feet in front of her. She’s wearing a loose white shirt, it’s like a white flag and it’s driving Carrie crazy. Suddenly Carrie feels like a shark smelling blood. She fantasizes about killing the woman and eating her. It’s terrifying how much she’s enjoying the fantasy. The woman has no idea she’s being stalked. She’s oblivious, jiggling along the sidewalk. Carrie envisions tearing into the woman’s soft, white flesh with her teeth. It’s the woman’s own fault, she should lose weight or something. Carrie stops and turns into her building." like WTF? overall I was bored ... pages and pages about these obnoxious investment bankers.
