I don't think this book is for me. I didn't feel anything for most of the book. Like yeah look at these kinda wealthy people who can afford to be ladies who lunch talking about relationships. I did like the part about bicycle men. Only really read this to get the full experience of the SatC universe since I did like the Carrie Diaries.

Whoever looked at this “book” and saw the potential for a TV series had some truly incredible imagination. Had I read this first, I never would have given the show a try, because it’s really fairly awful.

Much darker, grittier, and bitchier than the TV show. Nobody in this book is very nice and most aren't interesting either. There are some interesting and funny parts, and fascinating to see how a column turned from first-person to third-person (Candace to Carrie) and how that then translated to the screen. But don't come expecting SATC the show, because you'll be disappointed. No real through-line or story because it's a collection of newspaper columns.
