Bias disclaimer: I read this book as a proofreading pass for re-publication, so I probably picked at it more than the average reader would have. This book builds beautifully upon the first, and I was thrilled with the direction that development went in. Gor is still my favorite character, but it was nice to see Rhix return (if under a different name). I am also intrigued by the promise of a future romantic subplot, given how much grief Dali has been stewing in.
