Book Review
Title: Sweat and Soap, Vol. 2 by Kintetsu Yamada
Genre: Manga, Comedy, Romance
Rating: 5 Stars
Volume 2 was so fun and happy that it made me grin the entire time reading it, Natori and Asako continue their relationship but on a work trip Asako’s manager finds out about their relationship which doesn’t bother Asako as much as she thought. She also become more confident in asking for what she wants and she is determined to not give Natori up since she’s sure one of his juniors has a crush on him.
Seeing the differences and similarities between these two was so cute, we get to see Asako fulfil her girlfriend duties when she takes care of Natori while he has a bad cold and she cooks multiple times for him since he lives a bachelor’s life and doesn’t really cook for himself. We also get to meet Asako’s family when she briefly returns home, the first person she tells about her relationship is her mother who is rooting for her daughter and eager to meet her boyfriend. She also ends up telling her younger brother, Keita who works in a restaurant she wants to take Natori to and he makes them reservations.
As the pair get to know each other more and deepen their relationship, they find out more and more things. Natori is extremely clumsy despite being confident at work which is something that Asako shares, she also approaches her mother on wanting to cook for Natori more and gets some ideas from her. Natori’s family we haven’t seen much of but we know his father grows tea and his mother loves gardening but she lost her sight after the birth of his sister. The more mature content is also appreciated as it makes this relationship seem more realistic than some of the other manga I’ve read and it is greatly apricated. Now their relationship is slowly coming out I can’t wait for more of this cute content.

Keitaaaaaaa!!!😻😻😻
I love how the story's progressing and Asako's family is so loving and caring. Keita and him being a protective brother is one of the highlights of this volume for me. The other highlight being blushing Natori-san!! Asfhg!! I'm liking this series so much.
P.S. I'm here for a more confident Asako...yes please!!
