not much of a mystery when the suspects are literally only 3 from the jump and the clues are cartwheeling in front of you. i do have to admit that i liked the little twist at the end and the very last chapter was charming and felt straight out of a movie scene lmao. i liked this book the least out of this series so far. it was also much darker than the previous ones and could have been really great, but it got bogged down by a lot of pretentious drivel (i have to confess i liked some of it) and the annoying but sometimes necessary, song lyrics.

Really enjoyed, very well written and I look forward to the next in the series! Only a 4-4.5 stars because it didn't blow me away, but was very good.

This was better written than book #2 in the series. The ending seemed really slow then rushed all at once. I didn't like the cliff hanger at the end with the two main characters. The story line was much more interesting than the first two in the series. Decent book. The killer was predictable.

This one had my favorite mystery of the series so far, but it still took a huge back seat to the character development. Shanker is now a favorite of mine as well. I had resolved to read something other than the next book in this series once I finished this one, but it basically ended on a relationship cliff hanger, so almost in the time it took to blink, I had checked out #4 from libby. TG for e-books.

"You put it like that, it sounds convincing, said Strike, who remained entirely unconvinced.

Odd reading a thriller set right on the doorstep. Catford tourist board won't be too happy!
