This author seems desperate to include so much drama and intrigue and suspense all in one little quiet neighborhood that it becomes ridiculous. And the ending?!?!? Jeez!!

Super fast paced and easy read for a long flight on vacation-not much depth but this was engrossing for the most part. The end was a bit underwhelming for me
My goodness, Shari, you've done it again! This has to be one of my favorite thrillers of the year, and I've come to expect nothing less from what I consider a vastly underrated thriller author. This is my 5th read from her and each and every time I find is so impressive how she's able to weave together these twisty stories while managing to leave just enough meat on the bone by the end that you're left completely satisfied. Her characters stand out to me as the most impressive piece of her writing as she able to give them all a certain level of importance to the point that you won't forget them while also managing to create tons of possible suspects which keep you guessing until the very end. This ending in particular blew my mind. From beginning to end, this was a fast-paced and entertaining read without much let up, and I simply loved every minute of the page of this book.

Which 3 other husbands seem to be involved or named to have something to do with her murder. Interesting enough.
I did not know what to really expect from this, but I enjoyed this book. Thought it was a good read and look forward to reading more books by Lapena. Listened to this in one sitting. Could not put this one down. Although the ending, idk how I feel about it. Wasn't expecting it but was also not expecting it to be a character we don't really know that much about.

3.5 stars. The plot is great and I was taken by surprise but was so frustrated in the choppiness of the book. The author went from storyline to story line at the most random moments and in the middle of chapters. Multiple times per chapter.
