Surprisingly enjoyable! This was my first from this author and I listened to the audiobook. It was a classic whodunit that did keep me guessing pretty much the whole time. The end is technically a cliff-hanger if you're someone who wants everything tied up in a bow, but it worked perfectly for me. Great for summer or when you want something fast-paced and snappy.

This book kept me guessing until the very end! I really enjoyed the multiple POV’s and the switching back and forth often. The only thing I didn’t love was the cliffhanger at the very end.

I waffled between three and four stars because I thought it was a fun summer mystery read, but the killer was suuuuuuper easy to figure out. Due to predictability, I did go with three but would still recommend it.

Amanda Pierce is beautiful but riddled with scandal. One day she is reported missing by her husband and the whole town assumes she has run out on him…until her car is discovered at the bottom of a lake and her body stuffed in the trunk.

Amanda had a penchant for older men and liked to flirt with the neighbors. Many of them had a motive. Many of them have gaps of time that they cannot account for during the weekend she went missing. Plus her husband looks guilty as hell and certainly isn’t a saint.

Then again, it’s always the people we (are supposed to) least suspect, isn’t it?

I was entertained and found the story gripping the whole time, but the ending didn't wow me. The multiple POVs actually worked well for this story.

These cookie cutter books can be fun sometimes! Predictable, yet entertaining, felt like a fun popcorn time.
