My second book by the author and... well it’s a lot...

Trouble is brewing in a suburb where everybody seems to be up to no good...

Someone’s son is breaking into houses... a woman is missing... there’s a murder and a whole lot of secrets and lies and affairs... nobody is ever quite who you think they are and these neighbors find that out in the worst ways. Do you really know your spouse? Your kids? Your friends? Your neighbors? Yourself?

Becky is an idiot like straight idiot I just can’t even express how ridiculous this woman was. Olivia isn’t much better. Carmine needed to get a dang hobby because I get why she wanted to get to the truth but she’s was being very extra about it. I hated all the women in this book they were naïve and just plain stupid and the men were all awful. It’s like a neighborhood of the worst people. I’m just saying how hard does the truth have to slap you before you take a freaking hint? Raleigh is also and idiot but he has the excuse of being a teenager. Not that it’s much of an excuse.

This was more drama than mystery really it was a like at Lifetime movie collided with a soap opera and only the most annoying people survived. There were a lot of twists and turns and misdirect. Not a bad story and I didn’t guess who the killer was at all. It was all a lot going on. And everybody was up to something. Though I feel like I must have missed something or a plot point was left unfinished with one of the characters and where they were sneaking off to. Even so it was an entertaining story that kept me guessing.

Not quite up to a stranger in the house or the couple next door but better than an unwanted guest. Throughout Lapena’s books I’m always thinking “could it have been them?” I really didn’t expect the outcome of this book. I got close knowing what family the killer was in but nothing more than that.

Everyone is sleeping around and keeping secrets and women end up murdered. Fast paced trashy mystery. Got this from library thinking I liked this author...but my GR log reminded me otherwise.

Page turning thriller that keeps you guessing until the very end! I had to draw a whole chart just to keep track of all the relationships and accusations. Such an interesting read!

not the best mystery i've ever read. Figured out who done it rather quickly and then it just seemed so redundant and seemed to take forever to get to the end. The ending was good though!
