Such a beautiful account of three women who fought not only for their lives, but for the lives of their babies. This book, at times, was hard to read, given the premis of the story (the Holocaust,) but the story ended on such a positive and enlightening note.
The book was an easy read, the author caputured each woman's life beautifully. It wasn't too much back-and-forth storytelling and was easy to follow.

This was better than just OK but not "I really liked it". The book is a very interesting account of how 3 pregnant women survived the concentration camps during WWII.
I would have given it more stars had it flowed a little better. The subject matter, as you can expect, is difficult to comprehend.

An incredible and moving story about three Jewish women from Czechoslovakia and Poland who successfully hid their pregnancies during the Holocaust, and survived concentration camps, a slave labor factory, and deadly transports to save their children from the Nazi's "Final Solution." A beautiful testament to the selflessness of loving mothers and the value of human life.

5 stars for the story. Harrowing, moving, educational. I haven't read a ton about the Holocaust so I took quite a bit from this.
The book itself was pretty terrible though. Distinguishing between the characters was really difficult and following the time lines was often confusing.
The worst part was the editing though, maybe the Kindle version was worse than the hardcopy, but there were SO many mistakes - page after page of misspellings. It was overly distracting and really took away from the book.
These stories should have made for a 5 star book but it read only slightly better than an unedited first draft.
Enjoyed the story and glad I read it but disappointed that the book wasn't what it should have been.

This is wonderfully written book about 3 mothers who through courage, tenacity and luck were able to give birth in concentration camps and both mother and child survived!
