A boy tells happy stories about his beloved dog, Jack. The stories eventually turn sad, as Jack grows old and passes away. The boy reflects on his feelings, and admits that while his family may eventually get another dog, there will never be another one like Jack.

I remember reading this book a long time ago as a kid. It definitely hit me emotionally as an adult rather then as a kid cause I have my dog who’s 13 years old and is not going to be around much longer so that for me is hard to accept. Great book to read to children who lost a pet.
