I love Christian

If you’re ready for Christmas, this is the perfect rom-com novel to kick off the holiday season.

This is my first novel by Catherine Walsh, and it will not be my last. I absolutely loved Meghan and Christian’s story. It was laugh out loud funny and swoon-worthy with a little bit of spice. I will be going back to read Holiday Romance now, and recommend that “correct” order to future readers.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced reading copy.

Cute. Fun. Cozy. I can definitely tell the author has siblings because the family dynamics are written perfectly.

This book was so so so cute! AND there is no third act break up. Blessings.

HELL YEAH CATHERINE WALSH i’m going on a spree with all your books this one was so fun

what a fun wintertime read! so happy the fl and ml were not insufferable. also the final confession was actually good 😲

5/5 stars!

This book was absolutely impeccable! I don’t even know where to start even? The writing style, humour, characters, romance, spice, setting, plot, tropes just everything was 10/10. I love how the book was not just about the romance between Christian and Megan but also their own personal issues with life and family also. I also do love a fake dating trope but this romance was just slow paced but also the chemistry?? I actually felt the chemistry through the pages! I loved that this book didn’t have that ‘third act break up/miscommunication’ thing some books sometimes do need a bit of spicing up I understand but this book didn’t need it at all.

I absolutely loved Megan. The runaway bride who was sort of forced to start a new life. Her small Irish town judging her every move. Christian who’s family are always pressuring him to settle down, his father who he feels is constantly disappointed by. It made sense why they wanted to fake date each other. The romance was brilliantly slow paced it wasn’t that they hated each other either as normally enemies to lovers is my sort of thing. They respected each other and their boundaries throughout Christian was just such a gentleman but he’s just handsome. I know he isn’t real but I just know it, you know?

The sparks between them both even at the beginning with Christian witnesses Megan running away. Just electric af! I felt they both went on their own personal journeys as well. The truth coming out about her relationship with Isaac was done with such nuance. I honestly could sit here and just endlessly gush about this book. Everything was perfect the pacing, even the spice! I loved it was just perfect. I need to read the first book as well now I know it’s a series! Just read it !!
