After the second volume, I was thrilled to know that this series wrapped up by the third. Alex and Ada were cute and it's an interesting story, however, it's too slow for me and the ending - ugh - it just drained the hopes I had of the book ending on with robot domination.

Finally finished this series and boy do I wish it was longer. Such an interesting and unique take on AI.
Took a turn I wasn’t expecting and the ending felt rushed..
still love the art style though.

Well this was certainly an epic conclusion to Alex and Ada's forbidden romance between a human and a sentient robot. I did really enjoy this series overall and felt the conclusion was good if a bit predictable. Due to circumstances I won't spoil, the ending is bittersweet because our star-crossed lovers have not had an easy journey and I was really starting to get worried there in the end. But it all works out and certainly raises some interesting questions about what it really means to be "human".

'Alex + Ada, Vol. 3' by Jonathan Luna with art by Sarah Vaughn collects issues 11 through 15 and finishes the series off. While I liked the series, the ending felt a bit rushed and strange.

Alex loves Ada, but it's getting tougher. She is a sentient android and she has to hide. As much as they keep it a secret, there are people who know. There is a growing movement to eliminate the sentients, and Alex and Ada find themselves separated in a way that they haven't been before. Can their love survive even as Ada is threatened?

I did enjoy the series, but I did feel that the ending was a bit rushed. The ending felt a bit too neatly tied up too. I do like these characters and their world. It's a bit sterile feeling, but that kind of goes along with this story about robots learning how to feel.

I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Diamond Book Distributors, Image Comics, and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.

The finish to this beautiful, thoughts-and-feels-provoking series is just as strong as its start. This volume really hit close to home in terms of how sentient AIs are marginalized and persecuted out of fear of the Other in society. Alex and Ada live in real, constant fear of being able to go outside and just exist as themselves openly, and even when legislation improves over the years to protect them, the actual quality of life is far from equal.

I teared up a few times in this volume.

Highly recommend buying the whole series. I'll be sure to get it when/if there's an omnibus released. I also recommend it to newcomers to comics looking for a compact series with a beginning and end.

Such a boring comic - talking heads, talking heads, more talking heads! There were a couple of pages of action in this, but it was quickly replaced by, you guessed it, more talking heads.

The only thing in this volume that inspired any emotion in me was
SpoilerAlex having most of his life wasted, with 25 years in prison,
but even that had nothing to do with the quality of the writing or story, and everything to do with my own personal issues. In the narrative all it really lead to was more boring panels filled with a boring head, only this time without even the talking!

One of the best sci-fi comic book series I have read. Short and sweet. I do wish this series was longer. Just 3 volumes and you can finish them all in a couple of hours. There isn't a lot of text and the artwork was great. The ending made me pretty emotional and the story took quite a turn which I didn't expect. Highly recommended. One of the sweetest love stories and a great story about robots becoming sentient and it's impact on humankind.

The entire trilogy has been a 5-star read for me, start to finish. I love the story itself, the deeper questions about what makes a person a person, and the relationship that develops between the two main characters. The artwork is spare but powerful, and the story builds to a totally satisfying conclusion. My only regret is not reading all three volumes right in a row, but I'll fix that with a re-read!
