The roller coaster of ups and downs at the end of this had my emotions all over the place. Gahhh. It's a 12 week hold at the library for book 2. I might die waiting 🫠

I was pretty interested in the set up to this even if I wasn't a huge fan of the writing... then I hit the 50% mark and totally lost momentum with it. There were a lot of tropes, a lot of convenience, and I just generally wasn't convinced by, or immersed in, the story so it felt like a chore to read.

The ending was also pretty cringey in my opinion... like incredibly cheesy lol.

Also it reads like a YA, not in a disparaging way but yeah. The only proof that these three weren't like 18 was the author constantly state that they're 24 because it literally cannot be inferred by the text.
