I'm glad the series is over. There was so much growth from all characters, but the book was just hard to listen to. I missed Bahni Turpin's narration, but Cynthia Erivo still did a good job. It's just an uncomfortable book to listen to because it feels like they just can't win. I only kept listening because I knew it had to eventually.

Had I revisited the previous books of the series, I may have rated this higher.  However, I didn't and kept getting characters mixed up in my head which ruined the experience.  This was full of action and deeply described everything that was happening all around.  It just seemed somewhat slow to me.

I'm done! Finally! This last one just felt really unnecessary and I am very underwhelmed. I have a lot of angry feelings now, and I should have just wrapped it up with the second one, but I couldn't have known that. This book was just frustrating to me.
