Desta vez há amplo avanço narrativo, ainda sem defraudar expectativas. O único receio será mesmo o pulo do tubarão.

The weakest one yet. Still really goof.

Uh, not crazy about it but starting to enjoy it a bit more. Descender was an improvement over this one I suppose.

There is a twist towards the end that's quite brutal and well written, and I love the scenes with the hybrid children, they make me sad. Good job at making me care I guess.

Still don't see anything inventive or crazy about it, but I didn't start this comic thinking I was going to find the meaning of life.

So yeah. Solid.

Uneven. The science still seems kind of stupid. And there just should have been a lot more of the animal kids underground at the camp - it kind of felt lazy to have so few. But the character back-stories are the strongest part - that said, usually I'm a sucker for a good backstory. And they are walking to Alaska. Still the story seems to be going somewhere and is fairly readable. 3.5 of 5.

Okay, Mr. Lemire, I'm hooked. You've got me. I have to find out what happens next. The fact that I know there is a definite ending to this comic book at this halfway point actually makes it all the more compelling. Nothing is as predictable as it seems which is harder than you may think with a comic book. And Jeppard and Sweet Tooth have a compelling relationship in the story. I am dying to see what Sweet Tooth's origin really is and why was his father so religious.

This series gets exponentially better with each trade paperback. The first volume was mainly exposition, the second began to delve into the back stories but this is Jeff Lemire at his finest. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT TRADE PAPERBACK!
