This such a unique book, specifically with the way its structured. I really loved that about it, kept me intrigued and on my toes.

Only because this book is just too damn long for what it is. It couldve ended 3 separate times (and would've gotten a five star from me). It's time for the plot to stop progressing and just conclude already damn.
I honestly loved most of this book however everything is just so emotional, especially where I stopped and it has such a bittersweet tone to it at all times. Im not in the mood for it rn, might continue reading later, or might not.

What a beautiful, tragic story. Going into this novel, I was hesitant as it is YA and I didn't want to read another dystopian knockoff. That is not what this story is. It's beautiful, it's tragic, and it's quite unique. I felt the characters to be rather believable and the found family aspect was so touching. It was a lovely read that I recommend anyone (young or old) to read.

I read to the halfway mark and skimmed the rest. It just felt really repetitive and the constant back and forth about killing each other got annoying
