beautiful, beautiful. feels like reading heady poetry until it rises from the depths (or descends from the heavens) to beautiful, lyrical prose that simply enlightens. unexpectedly made me want to cry at the end with the line “I want you to be madly loved.” (ugh!)

Mad love surrounds its reader in thick description demanding concentration on object and potential significance. Ultimately proving that perception stems directly from desire, the essay-style text cunningly presents "you see what you want to see."

I was just adding this to my list + I thought it was funny how the usual quantifiers/the things people can categorize books and plot around aren't even a little bit relevant to this one. I had to read most of it outlaid but I really enjoyed it.
