A přesto - porovnávám nesrovnatelné.
V takovém případě, pak dostanete dobře vystavěný příběh, o naději a sesterské lásce, důvěře i zradě, vzájemné pomoci a - samozřejmě lásce. Kniha je psaná velice příjemným a čtivým jazykem, děj ubíhá, nekolísá a i když z počátku může působit trochu bezbarvě, záhy se rozbíhá a čtenáře vtáhne a nepustí. Nechybí ani trocha toho napětí a atmosféra.
Spoiler Konec je pak typickým happy endem. To je ale právě ten důvod, proč romantické knihy čteme, no ne?

This is a fictional story based on real treatments that “insane asylums” had women endure in the late 19th century. It also showed how woman’s diagnosis was usually made up by family members to be rid of them. An awesome, thrilling story of a young woman who gets herself admitted into an asylum to find and save her sister. It proves to be much harder once she gets there and you see her realization of what does go on in an institution such as this in 1889.

I enjoyed this, but there were 2 (or was it 3) moments when I thought, "Wait. Did I already know that?" I snagged the audio because it was available at the time, but I wish I had read it instead.
