This was my second read through. Not my most favorite Austen but such a fun read. The humor is on point.

#relatable because I have also ruined weeks of my life because of an overactive imagination

This one was a total and complete disappointment to me. I don't know if I just wasn't in the right frame of mind or whether the fact that I choose the unabridged version had anything to do with it but... wow... it was painful.

As you will note it took me a good four months to get through this one... and let me also point out that the book itself is not very long. I just couldn't get into it.

I was hoping for more from the Abbey and instead was forced to wait 100 pages to even meet it. Then the "dark confusion" of the Abbey really only lasted about 2 pages. The rest... I don't even know. This was a tough one... which makes me sad. I usually love Jane Austen...
