I'm blown away. I see my mom in Frankie's, and myself right after leaving the church in Frankie. This was beautiful, and the characters & setting felt so real, tangible... highly, highly recommend.

This was a really good book and I personally enjoyed the story. As a middle school English teacher, I’m not sure this book will be one my kiddos pick up and be able to understand. It’s definitely worth them reading but without some background knowledge of cults I could see this being one they struggle to finish.

I was hooked from the jump! As always with Kate’s books, I wish I could have read this as a child. The Wrong Way Home expertly deals with insecurities and friendships and mothers and learning new things. I was a new kid at school once and totally related to Fern’s nervousness. This book is such a gorgeous tale!!
