I really enjoyed this story. Started out a little slow but once it took off I could not put it down! Very tense and immersive. The writer did a fantastic job with descriptions and overall sense of what a great horror story should give you.

Overhyped. I can see how this might be a decent introductory to horror for a young person, maybe, but it was not at all what I expected from the amount of hype this has received. It’s written very simply, and the narrator speaks too modern/not of the time the story takes place. The story breaks in odd places. And worst of all, it was incredibly predictable and quite over-explained.
