I haven’t seen the movies he’s titled chapters after yet, but I still wanted to see what the first chapter would be like. I was not disappointed. Would absolutely like to come back to this book someday.

I couldn’t handle any more swearing.  I also didn’t like the ridicule for some of my favourite movies.  Pekinpah as compared to Fritz Lang or Billy Wilder?  I don’t think so.

I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook! I picked up on a whim. I’m not really a big movie aficionado but found the commentary fun and interesting! So much so that I can barely wait to go back and watch a bunch of old 70’s flicks! I had no idea what the book was when I picked it up and it’s not a memoir (which would be cool 🤔). But he did give a lot of insight into his early inspiration, which was awesome! I do wish the entire book was narrated by Tarantino but only the 1st and last chapters are his voice. However, I quickly got used to the narration early in the 2nd chapter and it was still really good because I definitely could recognize it as Tarantino’s words, opinions and stories.
