Useful insights and tons of data points, but extremely annoying writing style. Should be a lot shorter.

The first half of this book is a remarkable exploration of the history of companies who collect and sell our data. Part terrifying, part informative, it gives a background to the actions and principles of these companies.
The main problem of the book is that the author loves using 20 words where 10 will do, and tries to be overly poetic at times. The third section is essentially philosophical rambling, which was difficult to follow.

Super well researched. Thought provoking throughout. At time very pedantic and unreachable. I took my time reading this book (almost 2 years). I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to understand where the new frontiers of the internet are.
