I LOVED Marie's OV worlds that she creates. They're different and come with so many unexpected twists and turns. This is no different and I think one of my favorite parts was the unhinged alpha.
Shatter is different from other omegas that I've read and it made me automatically like her, and can't forget the pack she's with. Dusk, Umbra, and Ransom, these guys aren't your fluffy alphas, but they're unhinged in the best way.
I'm so intrigued with how everything will come together in the two remaining books. I know these characters are going to have to go through more things, we know it's never that easy. I can't wait to see what happens and what we learn about these characters next!

I don't even know how to explain how I feel about this book. It's one of those where you just can't put it into words.
Marie Mackay continues to give books that are just so good. I freaking love me some omegaverse, and the world she creates is so different from other omegaverse series and I just can't ever get enough. Her characters are so wildly unique. Like Shatter?? I'm so obsessed with her (and her name tbh) because I've never read another character like her.
Being inside Shatters' head was so chaotic. Actually all of the povs were chaotic as hell but some really just stood out about Shatter. She just so broken. You could feel all her tension and anguish through her pov. You almost needed to put the book down a couple of times from the pretty intense emotions you felt from just her alone.
Absolutely my new favorite omegaverse without a doubt.

“I’m looking forward to all the ways I’m going to play with you.”
I’m rendered speechless. This was so good. I was utterly captivated by the plot, the drama, the mystery, the inner turmoil. It was a stay-up-too-late-and-damn-the-consequences read.
Once it got its claws in me, I could not force myself to put it down.
It is by far the darkest of Marie Mackay’s OVs, so make sure to check TWs at the beginning of the book. Or go in delightfully blind if you wish (always my favorite choice).
There is nothing soft and tender about the Alphas who claimed stole from her scent matches Shatter. They suffer no qualms about how they treat her. It is for her own good; she just doesn’t know it yet. Their behavior is definitely falling into the darkest side of ABO dynamics here. But it is strangely endearing, their OTT J/P natures.
The book is fast-burn and spicy. Even the interactions between the MCs are dark - there are noncon and dubcon scenes.
Killer cliffhanger ending. I cannot wait for book two.

Shattered Omega is dark and gritty, filled with the most alluring, amoral, broken, feral alphas and the most stubborn, wild omega. It really was really the perfect dark omegaverse romance. That being said, please check the TW at the beginning of the book.
The vibe was very much like if Den of Vipers was omegaverse. The alphas and the omega all had very traumatic beginnings and did not develop the most healthy of coping mechanisms. Mostly they all made some pretty questionable decisions and love to be toxic. For example, they essentially blackmailed the omega into being with them and not with her scent match pack (not a spoiler, it happens in the first two chapters), but then proceed to give her everything she wants and needs, albeit sometimes in a toxic way. It’s like their darkness called to hers, even though she refuses to accept it. The fact that these alphas were obsessed with her even though she didn’t trust them (for good reason) had me swooning. There was a lot of non & dub con in this book—which did serve a purpose in the end that wasn’t simply for shock like in some dark romances.
To balance out the dark, there were many tender and sweet moments between the MCs. They repeatedly showed her how perfect she was for them and took care of her even when she didn’t want them to (swoon). There were also several funny bits that had me chortling (hello mop friend, IYKYK).
I loved this book and devoured it in a matter of hours, though it did take me a few chapters to understand the rules of this specific omegaverse. I was so invested in the story I didn’t even notice I had reached the end of part 1! I nearly threw my kindle across the room! Seriously, curse these multiple parters!!! I can’t wait to see what happens next!

I need moooore! One of the things I love the most about a Marie Mackay story is the frantic edge of the seat feeling I get as I rush to see what happens next. I can never figure out where the story will go before I get there lol Can not wait to find out how everyone is connected and where they end up!

Absolutely gripping. This is a devastating beginning to this series. My heart aches for my sweet Kingsman pack. Mackay writes the cruelest, sweetest, broken MMCs ever and I loved them all but I’m downright obsessed with these three, yes even Ransom. The mystery and suspense in this book is incredible. Im a ball of tension, frustration, and nerves from the first page to the last. The way she writes I always have a strong desire to immediately start from the beginning as soon as I’m done because it feels, like there is so much I might have missed, as well as an intense longing to be back with these characters. This story and connection unfolds painfully deliciously slowly, so that all the spicy moments are scorching hot. I sincerely hope she’s already working on book two because I need it!!
