This did not disappoint. Foxglove is one of my most anticipated book this year and I am happy to report that this is a solid sequel. We already love Signa and Death and just when we try to take an easy breath thinking we resolved everything and saved the plight of Blythe another death soon haunts the Hawthorne manor along with a new character that is going to change their Fates(quite literally).Signa has to deal with lot of consequences for her actions in the past book while simultaneously trying to protect what's left of her family.
I quite enjoyed the book, my favorite parts are surprisingly Blythe's chapters, I loved her character even with all her flaws. I have to say that the mystery in this one didn't intrigue me as much as the one in Belladonna did and I definitely felt a drag in the middle of the books where I didn't care for some chapters when nothing significant was happening but that being said the ending made me excited even when I was able to see the twists coming. I am even more excited for Wisteria because these two significant characters seem to go at each other's throats at every given chance lol

Another great book in the series. I really liked the ending even as I was suspecting it. Again very well written and full of magic.
I feel like I should give this book 4 stars, like it has all the right ‘ingredients’ for a 4 star book, but eh, I just can’t.
Meeting Fate was really fun and exciting. I don’t hate death but I never loved him much either so I switched sides to Fate pretty easy. But pretty quickly he started cringing me out and pretty much all the interactions between death and Fate were so cringey. On instagram the author compares them to the brothers from vampire diaries and um yeah it shows.
The plot was pretty interesting tbf. Fate thinking Signa is Life reincarnated and this other murder mystery to solve to save Elijah. When Signa and Fate made that deal to meet for a month or whatever (I can’t remember the details) I thought it be interesting to see them interact. But they met like one time and didn’t even spend that long together. Just seemed like a waste.
The author was pretty clearly setting Blythe and Fate up and I dunno I didn’t really feel much between them. I can’t say I’m rooting for them. At one point he spits in to her mouth with like no warning. It was weird.
In terms of the murder mystery I could not figure out where that was going and when it was explained I was like woah. I thought that plot was really interesting and I did not see it coming. I like how there were consequences from Signa’s actions in the first book when she killed Percy.
I loved it when Signa interacted with the spirits, like the little boy who drowned. I also loved Amity and wish we saw more of her. I wish we saw more of Signa interacting with the spirits in general it was so fun to read. The ballroom scene at the end was one of my favourite scenes in the book. It’s a shame most of them left.
In terms of Blythe being life, I picked that up pretty early on. I didn’t like how Signa and Death found out though it felt very random and forced. I don’t know how Signa connected people glowing to Blythe being life. Blythe seeing Elain and Eliza as skeletons and the spirits seeing them glowing is never really explained. It’s mentioned and then that’s it. I get how Eliza glowing links to Blythe because Signa used her powers to save Eliza but they never did anything to Elaine.
That’s another thing I hope will be explained in the next book. Why can Signa use Death and Life’s power but not Fate’s. And why using Death’s is so easy for her but Life’s hurts her.
The next book will be about Blythe which I like because she was definitely my favourite in this book, I really like her. I’m a bit worried we won’t see much of Signa because she’ll be in Foxglove because I still like her. The thing is the next book isn’t even out and I already know over half the book will be Blythe figuring out she’s life when Signa could’ve just told her.
In theory this book could’ve been 4 stars but I dunno I just think it needed to written better (I can’t think of word other than better). I do feel like maybe I’m a little biased against this book though, I was really ill in the middle of reading it so it kinda dragged on for me a bit.

There's some issues with the plots' logic. But all is once again forgiven because vibes
Bit of a slow start and admittedly I did have to put it down for a few months before it got good, but wow the ending was amazing. Blythe is my favorite character and I knew she was Life right away. I'm very excited to read Wisteria and see more about Blythe, though I'm a little sad to be finished with Signa & Death (hoping they make an appearance). I also hope the whole murder mystery plot is finished, I will admit I am a little bored of it. The change of scenery in this book was nice and I'm excited for another one in Wisteria. I have lots of thoughts about this book, most of them being about Blythe and Fate and how they are 100% in love already.

I enjoyed the dual pov's and how this did a good job of wrapping everything up and setting things up for Blyth's book. I wish we had more banter and tension between the couple but I do understand why we don't. I found this to be a very fast read and I read it all in one day
