This is the first in a series though the predicted second book still hasn’t come out.

Decker is a detective in Hollywood who gets called to a death on the set of a reality TV show. Jax is the producer of that show and believes there is more to the death than the obvious. When a couple attempts are made on Jax’s life Decker realizes he’s got a real problem to solve.

The story plays like the classic detective mysteries we used to watch on TV…think Colombo or McCloud or Jessica Fletcher. There’s a finite group of suspects, several people seem to have motives, and gradually the pieces drop into place. A random comment by a secondary party sets wheels in motion. And the crisis moment gives us the denouement.

It’s a fun read with a sweet HFN ending so I’m kind of hoping we get more to see where this series can go. Another author has a series in the same vein that is enjoyable so I’d love to see Wynne make a go of this one.

ADORED this one. POV is modern "hard-boiled" police detective who is SMITTEN with a guy and can't be, can't ...except the guy flirts? What?

Lovely. I want more!
