I know I skipped from #3-6 but this is probably my favorite of the series thus far. Unlike the first, I felt the devil/angel comparison was done a lot better here and the emotion made more sense given the plot. However, these still trend as a bit melodramatic for my personal taste, so I can't necessarily rate it higher. Also, part of the plot revolves around the MMC (who is white) being enslaved for a number of years, which feels a little off to me (the author does note that many of the men who were enslaved with him were of color, but they aren't named).
